Pietro Ciancaglini

Born in Rome in 1975, Pietro Ciancaglini starded studying double bass at the age of 16, carrying on in the same period both the classical studies and the improvisation theories. His professional jazz activity started by the side of musicians such as Marcello Rosa, Ettore Fioravanti, Maurizio Giammarco, Roberto Gatto, Pietro Tonolo, Nicola Stilo. In 2001 he became a musician of the High Five Quintet, the acclaimed Italian band composed of Fabrizio Bosso, with whom composed “Jazz For More” (2002), “Jazz Desire” (2004), and the successful "Handful Of Soul" (Schema Records, 2006, double platinum) together with the crooner Mario Biondi.
