The connection between Ella and the Bossa Beat and Italy is growing stronger day by day, as demonstrated by their new unreleased track “Italian Dream”, sung and played as usual by a four-piece band: Ella Blu (vocals and keyboards), Magrus Borges (drums and percussion), Robson Barros (bass) and André Lafaete (guitar).
“Italian Dream” is sung both in English and Italian, and tell the story of a mysterious night spent walking alone through the streets of a city on the peninsula. Musically, the song unfolds, mystical and sensual, surrounded by a distinctive Mediterranean aura, on a 70s jazz-funk background, graced by Gianluca Petrella’s wind instruments soul arrangements; Francesco Borrelli on electric guitar eventually completes the line-up.
“Italian Dream” is the sixth single released by Ella and the Bossa Beat for Schema Records; it will be included in the music project’s first full-length album for the Milanese label, scheduled for the first half of 2026.
