Gerardo Frisina has just finished producing a new project of his entitled “IN SIGHT” which will be released in two separate volumes – Gerardo is undoubtedly an important name in the international music scene for his unmistakable Latin sound that has won many listeners around the world.
“Desejar”, the second single taken from “In Sight Vol. 1”, combines the warmth and intensity of Latin music with the elegance of the piano played by longtime collaborator Giovanni Guerretti. Although rhythmically based on a rumba clave typical of Afro-Cuban music, the atmosphere of “Desejar” is distinctly Brazilian: thus the melody perception changes, more luscious and sophisticated, towards a ground rich in intriguing musical soundscapes that resemble the late Tenorio Jr’s pianism or João Donato & Seu Trio’s early productions with Rubens Bassini-style percussion.
Again, as soon as the music takes shape, without realising it we find ourselves dancing: this is Gerardo’s magic!
