Gerardo Frisina has just finished producing a new project of his entitled “IN SIGHT” which will be released in two separate volumes – Gerardo is undoubtedly an important name in the international music scene for his unmistakable Latin sound that has won many listeners around the world.
The first excerpt from “In Sight Vol.1”, “Mindoro”, sounds like a track that perfectly embodies Gerardo’s Latin soul. The track begins with a solid percussive groove that establishes an enveloping and dynamic rhythm, where the congas that reminds us of Giovanni Hidalgo play a key role, the perfectly Latin style trumpet a la Arturo Sandoval played by Cuban Gendrickson “Pucci” Mena has a warm and assertive sound bringing a vibrant energy, while the piano played a la Arturo Sandoval contributes with an incisive rhythm that stimulates dancing.
