The new single from S-Tone Inc. is a remix of the song “Keep Your Head Up”, which appeared in its original form on the recent album “Prelude”.
Stefano Tirone here delivers a classic ’90s house treatment reminiscent of the sound that defined the golden age of this music, drawing inspiration from David Morales and Frankie Knuckles’ seminal works. It features a classic house piano, an analog synth bassline, extra Roland 909 rhythmic programming and soulful melodies, with Julia St. Louis’s vocals taking center stage.
It’s an elegant return to the Italo House sound of which Stefano Tirone was one of the leading Italian exponents in the ’90s, particularly under the names Montego Bay and Antigua Managua, teaming with DJ Don Carlos (“Alone” being his timeless masterpiece).
In this regard, the same Don Carlos has worked on a further club remix version of this song that will soon be released.
