After the March 2025 digital release, S-Tone Inc.’s “In The Sand” receives a well-deserved ‘physical treatment’ with this 7-inch record, backed with the unreleased original track “Tudo Pra Ela” (Everything for Her).
“In The Sand” is an 80s rare groove classic originally written by the British band iLevel, here given a lush post-disco treatment in a perfect S-Tone Inc. style, sounding like it was composed by Stefano himself: his arrangement, in fact, sets the tone of a danceable rhythm that immediately puts the listener on a sunny exotic beach. This track features once again Julia St. Louis on vocals – recently heard on the previous single “Pressure” – and Marco Brioschi on trumpet, whose melodies beautifully recreate the Caribbean style of the original song.
“Tudo Pra Ela” renews the long-standing collaboration with Schema Records artist Toco (here involved in the writing as usual) in a peculiar song that blends his delicate vocal melody with a sophisticated disco groove, where additional backing vocals sung by Priscila Ribas add a sensual feminine touch; Brazilian jazz bassist Edu Hebling sounds perfectly comfortable with the track disco-styled bassline, while Stefano Tirone on keyboards and guitars defines the main coordinates back to the early 80s, renovating his love for that sound.
