Milan-based producer Stefano “S-tone Inc.” Tirone reunites with Brazilian singer-songwriter Toco for DONA DIVA, a new single paying tribute to the golden era of Brazilian funk and soul music. Inspired by the grooves of the late ’70s and early ’80s, and by Rio de Janeiro’s vibrant spirit party scene, the track blends retro flavour with contemporary production, creating a sound that feels both timeless and fresh.
Built around Tirone’s infectious bass lines and guitar work, the song wraps effortlessly around Toco’s vocals, while special contributions from trombonist Gianluca Petrella and backing vocalist Priscila Ribas add warmth, depth and elegance to the arrangement. The result is a sophisticated, groove-driven track rich in atmosphere and Brazilian soul.
“Dona Diva” is the first single taken from a new collaborative project from the two artists, anticipating a 7-inch vinyl release due in the coming months.
