Commemorative reissue of a cult album including several recordings released on vinyl for the first time ever!
Conceived in its same authors’ words as “a soundtrack for all our personal movies of our mind”, “Subterranean Modern Volume Uno” is The Dining Rooms’ debut album, a record that over the Years has become a true classic: instrumental hip hop with psychedelic, blues and folk influences, all set into a cinematic framework, these are the main coordinates of a unique formula, conceived by Stefano Ghittoni and Cesare Malfatti, and still in continuous evolution today.
Twenty-five years and ten records later, this double LP reissue – the album was released in full only on CD and as a single 6-track LP – is therefore necessary, given the relevance that The Dining Rooms still hold on an international level.
The record keeps the original and wonderful cover by Maria Arena.
This new edition is also graced by a 30x30cm insert with Maria’s images that constitutes an essential visual element associated to the album tracks, together with the bonus song “Education of a Scoundrel” featuring Sean Martin on vocals.
